Heavently Father loves us all the same

Why would a loving parent allow blessings to come to some of those that are righteous, but not to all? I know He wouldn't.  I've learned for myself that if we honestly live as righteously as we can and are able, we are entitled to all of the same blessings as any of our brothers or sisters, present, future or past. Thus, the ability to learn from reading the scriptures - so much to learn from, from those who have gone on before us.

I've also learned for myself that all blessings aren't going to come to us every time we want them.  If it's not part of His master plan, we can learn from not receiving that blessing - or at least not at the moment we want it.  It's not that He is denying us, it's all part of a bigger picture.

So, that brings me to today's widget scripture.  It's from the Book of Mormon.  Blessings, yea miracles, were given to those of old.  We can and should expect the same kind of love and abundance of blessings.

"Yea, I know that I am nothing, as to my strength I am weak, therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my god, for in his strength I can do all things, yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever".  Alma 26:12

I can receive blessings, yea, miracles, with His strength.    Book of Cindy, 1/19/13
