Jenna took up playing the accordian last September and is loving it. I found a teacher here in Eugene, and she happened to be the president of the local accordian club. In fact, there's TWO groups here in Eugene. Who would have ever guessed that there was an entire population of accordian players so close to home?
We have been attending the monthly accordian club meetings and it is too much fun! Most of the members are over 60! Jenna and one other teenage girl are the only members that are of their generation, but they sure get a lot of attention!
Anyone interested in joining us - just to hear them play? It's the first Monday of the month. Seriously, they would LOVE to have new members and guests of current members (that means YOU). Just once. Huh?

ReplyDeleteThat does sound like fun. My old piano teacher's husband played the accordian and I have such fond memories of his playing for us. His kids, my sisters and I would all waltz around their living room to his music. Remind me next month - Oh, I just remembered we have a trip planned the 1st Monday of April, but remind me in May and I'll go with you.
